What is Web 3.0? Wait What was Web 2.0?!

Web Development - This post is to respond author or “What is Web 3.0?” post I saw on DIGG today.
Gotta love the buzz words people throw out there just because it sounds cool. Ok I have nothing against the author of this post in fact I had heard of Web 3.0 before but last time I checked many people are still trying to understand “web 2.0″ because it is nothing but a Buzz word. So what Wikipiedia has a definition for Web 3.0. I can post a Web 4.0 definition on it too and call myself the first guy who ever talked about it.

The bottom line is that internet is an open media open to inventions and creativeness. Websites can and in my opinion should reflect the creativeness, culture, and mindset of their creators and web services should cater to their unique clients.
It is an open media, it has no version. For me as a user, the internet is a media that continues to evolve and as a web developer and a SEO specialist, it is an ongoing refinement of my web pages according to demand.

I am not going to go back to my sites and change the fonts from Verdena size 10px to Georgia size 12px because that font and size is more web 2.0 friendly.

As the web developer, I decide how I want to control the look and feel of my site. I see what converts into sales and leads, and what works for me and my organization.

If an all flash site is the solution, so be it. If it is those small late 90s fonts, why not.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind a certain standardization when it comes to web development but I am dead against labeling the internet with buzz words such as web 2.0 and web 3.0. So please stop with the buzzwords and lets stay creative and cater to our customers and visitors according to what we feel fit. Internet is too damn big to be labeled and I like it that way.
