Don’t Count on Arsenal Says Wenger…Well Kind Of!

July 6th, 2008 · No Comments

Soccer - Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s managers has admitted that cost of leaving to the bigger Emirate Stadium has put the club under a certain financial difficulty that Arsenal will need to sell top key players for the next decade. “The strategy of the club is to sell every year and to buy less expensive players,” he said.

He further said “The club’s strategy is to favor the policy of youngsters ahead of stars and to count on the collective quality of our game.”

To me that sounds like they are going to make players and sell them to bigger teams to make money so don’t count us to win anything major for the next ten years.  As an Arsenal fan I find that kind out disappointing.  Arsenal insisted to moving to a bigger Emirate Stadium and ensured the fans that they were not going to suffer too much because supposdly Emirate Airline and their other investors were going to pick up the tab. Apparently not.
