Digital marketing is constantly changing—and at Sefati & Co, we’re committed to evolving and adapting in kind. That’s why we’re diligent about attending area conferences and meet-ups where we can learn about all the latest search innovations. To that end, we were happy to attend this year’s Local Search Association convention (#LSA19), held at the Laguna Cliffs Marriot Resort and Spa in Dana Point. We were delighted to see so many local business owners, marketers, and search professionals at this informative event.
Takeaways from LSA 2019
Here are just a few of the #LSA19 important takeaways we latched onto.
- It’s never been more important to optimize for voice search, as more and more consumers are using virtual assistants to help locate local companies. (“Alexa, find a hair salon near me.”)
- Privacy Laws are to be taken very seriously. Europe’s GDPR compliance is very important if you have any European audience, and the California Privacy Act (CCPA) and other states are following with laws of their own. Data protection and privacy are important issues to consumers, as well, and companies need to be proactive in this area.
- Marketers need to be more data-oriented than ever, but the problem facing them is that there is just too much data to sort through—which means marketers need to choose their battle and track and analyze the right data.
We’d love to show you more of what we saw and learned at LSA 2019—and we put up some photos on the Sefati & Co Instagram page. Take a look for yourself!
